Lesson 3

Work it out!

In pairs look at the slides and decide which of these jobs suits you or what you would like to be when you grow up.

Read about the different job descriptions and discuss with your partner whether you think it is a man or a woman and why.

Thinking that males and females, and boys and girls, should be confined to certain roles in life is called Gender Stereotyping.
To say that only boys play soccer and only girls can bake cakes is Gender Stereotyping. Now that we know that boys and girls can do all sorts of different jobs and become anything they want, move onto the next step of this lesson to put all your knowledge into practice!

Glog it out!

In pairs, use these glogsters to show your understanding of the vast amount of things boys and girls can do!
You can be very creative in this task by writing your own thoughts, using images from the web and uploading videos from youtube. I have started you off with a video on each Glog but you can change this if you like!

Once you are finished your glogster, copy the link and paste in into the comment box along with you and your partner's name.
